Songwriter. Filmmaker. Producer. Designer. Systems Builder. Making things that help people feel something real.
Southern California — Est. 2004
Anthony Trujillo has spent twenty years making things. Songs, films, furniture, brands, software systems, experiences. He performs as March Calhoun. He co-founded The Indie Workforce, a Los Angeles production company that made 20+ films and music videos. He's been in bands — Xanimo played to 10,000 people at the US Open of Surfing and won the LA County Fair Battle of the Bands; Beta Scholar made sixty-something songs across a decade; Sheriff McCabe & The Lonesome Fever recorded an album and put it on cassette. He's scored films, designed brands, built websites, animated commercials, and written constantly.
He also runs IT for a healthcare company — fifteen skilled nursing facilities across Southern California, a thousand staff, built from nothing. He designed the network, hired the team, built the compliance posture, created the ticketing system, and authored the infrastructure roadmap. He doesn't see this as separate from the rest of it. A song is a system. A film is a system. An organization is a system. The work is always the same: how does it fail, and how do you rebuild it so the people inside it can do their best work?
He's based in Ontario, California. He's a father. He's currently building a new record — raw, language-forward, made for the joy of it — and thinking about what comes next. The garage door is open.
A new record built around duality and the pain of time. Raw, language-forward, moody. Made for the joy of it, not out of obligation.
A book. Still finding its shape. Notes exist. The story does too.
An open garage door. Stopping hiding. Showing the work.
As a performer, songwriter, and producer — across folk, Americana, lo-fi, punk, experimental, and everything between. Some of it released. More of it waiting.
